A variety tale, the story begins with K.P.Karuppu (dhanush) who is a loyal servant to Pettaikaran (jayabalan) who is known for his cock fight sport and a champion. However, he also has an assistant in the form of Dorai (kishore) who doesn’t like the growth of Karuppu in front of Pettaikaran. The story takes a turn with the arrival of Rathnaswamy (naren) who is also a stud in cockfights and challenges Pettaikaran. On the other hand, Karuppu falls in love with an Anglo-Indian girl Irene (taapsee). What happens from there forms the rest of the story….
