The film opens with a prologue of an young boy found unconscious somewhere in the locales of Kerala undergoing natural therapy. There are some rapid transitions of his memories followed by the opening titles where the story shifts to present age of Shiva (Shiva) and Indu (Madhu Shalini) in love together. Indu’s father (Abhishek) and her mother strongly object their love. When things aren’t controllable, her mother offers them to read a book that is titled as ‘Pathinaaru’ (16). Set in backdrops of a village, the film is about a young boy and girl in love from their childhood and the hurdles they come across that ends sadly as the author ends it saying there is nothing such thing called ‘Love’. Soon after reading the book, Shiva gets a surprise about the book’s author and starts searching for the girl…..
